ididthisbecause: I did this because the early bird catches the worm. I don’t really care what anyone else says or thinks, this is one of the most beautiful photographs I have ever taken. Yeah, it’s basic. Yeah, it looks like a postcard. But guess what? When I look at this picture, I can feel what I felt when I was actually standing there. I feel the cool breeze, I shiver because I know it was 36 degrees and I gawk because I know the colors were as incredible in real life as they are shown here. The fact that the Boston University crew team gets to see this almost every morning makes me a little bit jealous, but not enough to make me want to put on spandex and go row down the Charles. If they’re looking for a personal photographer to chronicle their activity though, I’d be happy to help if it means seeing things like this.  Standing on the BU bridge at 7 am was so worth it for this picture. I’m sure if I didn’t have somewhere to be that morning, I could have stayed and gotten some even better shots. Guess I’ll save those for next time.
